The home is conveniently located a short walking distance from Portland’s Old Port shopping district, Maine Medical Center, multiple sporting venues, and dozens of fabulous restaurants. You have the entire first-floor apartment to yourself, with 2 bedrooms, a full bath, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, and a shared outdoor patio with grill and seating for seasonal use. There is shared laundry in the basement, high-speed fiber-optic internet, and free on-street parking.
Rich established gardens and an original stained glass entryway welcome you to your clean, comfortable, and charming space. The lovely, light-filled bedrooms feature top quality LLBean bedding and cozy Pendleton wool blankets. There is a comfortable living room highlighted by gorgeous Italian leather chairs, as well as additional seating in the light-filled turret. The apartment offers two Roku TVs with multiple streaming subscriptions, a Bose bluetooth speaker, and a heat pump to keep the space toasty warm in the winter and comfortably cool in the summer, all while limiting environmental impact. Many original features are retained, from the turrets, stained glass, and high ceilings, to the original trim and wainscoting, and charming full bath with porcelain clawfoot tub.

It’s hard to find a more convenient location if you’re in town for work at the hospital or for medical care. Being 0.3 miles to the main campus allows for respite in a quiet, comfortable space with quick and easy access to the hospital when needed. There is unlimited free on-street parking if you prefer to leave your car and walk during your stay. Local bus and regional rail service are complemented by Lyft and Uber, and the Portland Jetport offers daily domestic and international flights. As noted, parking can be harder to find later in the day. There is a paid lot nearby and we can typically offer an on-site spot for $25/night. Also, space is a little tight in the bathroom. Width around the toilet is just a little more wide than a toilet. Also the tub is claw foot so requires stepping in and out.
